School Communication

SJAS believes that keeping an open channel of communication between the school and parents will add to students’ success. There are different approaches to communicate with the school:
1. School Web site: Information about the school as well as upcoming events are available in th this website. We have updated our website this year and all notices to parents will be accessible at any time.

2. School Calendar: The School Calendar for each term announces the dates of the official holidays and the main school events and celebrations.
يوجد نتيجة تشمل جميع أيام العطلات الرسمية والأعياد خلال العام الدراسي

3. Students’ Link Books
o At the beginning of the year, students will be given a link book, in which they record the homework assignments.
o The link book is the main mean of communication between teachers/parents and parents/school.
o For the benefit of parents and students, all comments should be written in the student’s link book. The subject teachers will answer the comments and the problems will be dealt with by the school administration.
o It is obligatory to bring the link book to school daily.
o Parents should sign the link book daily.
o For KG students, all school notices will be attached to their link book. Please check your child’s link book daily.
o If a student forgets his/her link book, appropriate action will be taken.
o In case the link book is lost, it is the student’s responsibility to purchase a new copy as it is not the school’s responsibility.

4. Communication between parents and teachers:
o For the benefit of parents and students, all comments should be written in the student’s link book. The subject teachers will answer the comments and the problems will be dealt with by the school administration. (remove)
o In case the parents contact the teacher directly, the school will not be responsible for any comments or consequences that may result thereof.
المرجو من السادة أولياء الأمور كتابة أى تعليقات أو استفسارات فى الـ link book الذى سوف يقوم مشرف المدرسة بالإطلاع عليه وحل المشكلة بالطريقة الصحيحة.

5. Parents’ Meetings: These are good opportunities for the parents and the teachers to discuss the academic progress of the student and solve any problems that may arise.

6. Progress Reports: Progress cards are sent home at the end of each quarter. They indicate the progress of your child. They should be signed by the parents and returned to the school management as soon as possible.

7. Appointments: Appointments with the management and teachers are welcomed. Appointments are arranged through the Administration Office 0100-210-8165, 0100-210-8164 or the Reception Desk. Visits other than at scheduled times are not possible and can cause problems with the daily running of the school.
فى حالة وجود أى استفسار أو معلومات تحتاج للايضاح فالمرجو من سيادتكم الاتصال بالمدرسة لتحديد موعد المقابلة مع الادارة او المدرس المسئول.

8. Orientation Day:  An open house that allows teachers to describe the programs and activities planned for the year.

9. Usage of School Telephone: The school telephone is to be used only in emergency cases. No student is allowed to call home because he/she has forgotten his/her homework, meals, or PE uniform, etc. In case of emergency, the school administration will call the parents.
